I was on Abbies programme in 2019 as after 2 kids I needed to get my body (and mind) back on track! I learnt loads and found my motivation thanks to Abbies easy to follow plans on nutrition and exercise routines. I lost weight and my body shape changed but my time on the programme was more then that it was a lesson in being kinder to myself, being more confident with what I had not focus on what I thought was ‘missing’ and recognising its not all about denying yourself that will only lead to yo-yo’ing! I’m still following the principles I learnt from Abbie and continue to maintain a similar weight and definition I gained during the programme
I’d spent years focusing on children and my career without really thinking of myself. My children were growing up and I had completely lost confidence in myself, stuck in a rut. I wasn’t sure that I could ever fix the issue but I felt I owed it to myself and my family to try and signed up. I was nervous on the first day and I won’t lie, the first few days were hard. My body ached like I never knew it could. I couldn’t even walk down the stairs! Also I’d never eaten so much food. However, I persisted and it was the best thing I did. Within a couple of weeks, the weight started dropping, my muscles stopped aching (so much!) and I began to trust the process and even enjoy the workouts – particularly the upper body ones! Abbie was always at hand to keep me motivated, inspire me with her honest yet upbeat view of the world and to celebrate each success along the way. Slowly my confidence built up and I started to really believe in myself and that I did have the ability to change myself. I can’t rate Abbie’s programme highly enough. When I came to Abbie I was desperate to change the shape of my body, but I didn’t know how. I enrolled in her coaching plan and already I have seen a difference in myself mainly the fact that I am 8 weeks in and still training consistently and sticking to my nutritions targets. I have never been thins consistent before and seeing as my goal is to build muscle tone I am on track as Abbie tells me this isn’t something that happens as quickly as fat loss. I am seeing the benefits of my consistency already and I am glad I have a new rhythm to my life in terms of loving my fitness journey (and having one!).
I was dubious about getting started, but I knew I had to do something to get out of the rut I was in. Having a women understand my life and keep me motivated really helped. I love her realistic approach and the fact she is real and eats food she loves and encourages me to do the same. Even the chocolate! I really needed a myth and a structure which is what I was lack and now I can feel the habit is forming and the results spur me on. This is what I needed in life more than I knew at the time.
At the start of the Covid-19 lockdown I made a decision to do something for myself with my time rather that waste it. I quickly signed up to Abbie’s coaching plan and immediately benefited from having her there guiding me through the week. I couldn’t have lost the 14 lbs I did without her spring me on and picking me up when I had hard weeks. I hit a plateau early on, but she wouldn’t let me give up and we sailed through the other side and I still train with her now. I needed that direction and guidance to to what I have done so far.
I had reservations about approaching Abbie, I wasn’t sure she would be the coach for me! I was wrong and although I initially thought that she would be like the rest of the women on Instagram she has a much deeper side which I relate to in terms of how she coaches mind/body connection and follows an approach which sets the foundations well on the inside making it impossible to fall off track with the program and become disappointed in the investment you have made in yourself. I have lost nearly 17 lbs in 9 weeks and I enjoy her weekly coaching to keep me on track.
When Abbie met me I was half the man I am today! I am an avid cyclist, tall and at the time I had no idea that my slight frame would be able to transform into the muscular physique she has helped me create today. I never ate enough and burnt off every calories while losing muscle mass in doing so. I have an understanding on how to gain muscle now through weight training and nutrition. What it can do to better my future and make me feel good inside and out has blown me away. I love the coaching app and weekly mindset trainings too!
